In the light of this difficult time where we are all sat at home staring at the walls thinking how you can give your home a refresh without leaving the house to go shopping. Making a few small changes in your home can make a huge difference to the ambiance and look of your home.
Give your home a lick of paint
When was the last time you actually painted your walls? Is the paint looking tired and old? Not looking too fresh? The quickest way to change up a room is to give it a new fresh colour for spring

Lighting is key
Lamps are the best way to add a warm cosy feeling to your living spaces without breaking the bank. By adding new lighting in the dark corners of your home, you can make rooms look larger on a budget. If you wish to add a more rustic element to your home, try using Edison lightbulbs in lamps. These give off a warmer tone than the bright white light bulbs we are accustomed to.

Give your shelves a good de-clutter
We are all nostalgic and try to hold onto things that have a lot of meaning to us, but often we tend to just plonk them on show and not actually find a home for them. Over time our shelves can become a dumping ground for bits a pieces we once cherished.
The best advice is to remove everything from shelving units and give it a good clean down. Once clean you can start to rearrange and find homes for your beloved belongings. Try to keep items of the same tone and colour together for a more styled look. Any items that you find no longer hold an importance to you, try to store them away elsewhere or donate them.

Fill large empty walls with art and mirrors
If you want to add colour to a room without making any major changes, one of the easiest ways is to fill any large wall areas with artwork. If you are not careful this could make a room look smaller. A tip to make the room look larger while adding artwork is to incorporate mirrors to give an illusion that the space is in fact larger than it is.

Add some candles or oil burners
On top of making your house smell lovely, these can give a more romantic and relaxing feeling when lit in the evening. Always make sure to check that the oils or waxes you are burning are not toxic and are pet friendly if you have a little furry friend at home.

Add new textures to a room by adding a rug
Adding rugs to rooms can break up the textures of a room and incorporate new tones other than just a plain carpet or wooden flooring. One of the ways to give your home a refresh is to match the colours and textures with other items you have in the room such as sofas, beds and armchairs.
